The picturesque village of Heiligenblut is situated at an altitude of 1,300m at the end of the Möll valley. It is surrounded by the magnificent Hohe Tauern mountain range, and towering above them all is Austria's highest peak, the Grossglockner (3,798m).
It is the Gothic pilgrimage church and the Grossglockner that have put this mountain village at the heart of the National Park region on the map. Of special interest is the Grossglockner. Alpine Highway, affording fantastic views of the Hohe Tauern range and giving access to various other highlights, such as the Swarovski Observatory, various exhibitions about the "Glocknerwiesen" Wonderworld (Alpine meadows near the Grossglockner) and an exhibition cheese dairy.
